Baby Cal

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

Baby Cal ("the app") is designed to keep your family's information private. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.

Information the app stores

To show your baby's age, milestones, and the home-screen widget, the app stores the following only on your device:

  • Your baby's name
  • Your baby's date of birth
  • An optional baby photo you choose

This information is saved locally in the app's private storage. The photo you select is copied into the app's private files.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not collect your data. None of the information above is sent to us or to any third party.
  • We do not have servers. The app has no account system and makes no network requests to transmit your data.
  • We do not share or sell data. Because nothing leaves your device, there is nothing to share or sell.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Permissions

  • Notifications — used only to send you on-device reminders about milestones, birthdays, and weekly tips. You can decline or disable this at any time in your device settings.
  • Run at startup (receive boot completed) — used only to re-schedule your local reminders after the device restarts.

The app does not request internet, location, contacts, microphone, or camera permissions. Photos are selected through the system photo picker.

Children's privacy

The app is about a baby but is intended for use by parents and caregivers. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, and no data is transmitted off the device.

Data deletion

Uninstalling the app removes all data it stored, including the baby's details and the saved photo. You can also clear the data from your device's app settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
